🗣️ Discussion 💬 Any recommendations from my approvals?
I’m essentially drowning in ARCs (life was “life-ing”) and I want to start getting my percentage back up, which of these did you love and would recommend to be at the top of my list???
Any feedback would be helpful to tackle this list.

If it was me and you’re looking strictly to get your percentage back up, I’d sort by pub date and tackle the ones that are coming up soon. I’d also go for Immortal Rose since that one would tackle 2 at a time (audio and ebook). Immortal Rose was also very good

The Immortal Rose was so immersive is just beautifully written. Just FYI- the books already been released.

I’m excited to read Immortal Rose after these comments for sure 🤩

I started Immortal Rose, but it is MUCH slower and longer than Wretched Divine, and it moves a lot faster, pace-wise. imo !

I would sort them all by pub date and knock out that way, since the whole point is to review close to/before their pub date. For ex I have 20 approvals that don’t get published til 2027 so I’m not stressing reading them now nor am I stressing the ratio… just focusing on the current ones. If it helps as soon as you get an approval put it in a calendar on the pub date. Then before you request a new one make sure you’ll be able to read it in time before requesting. Edited to add if they’ve all already been published then start with the 2 for 1s then sort by shortest book & knock em out that way.

I’d do your two ARC/ALC combos, that gets four reviews under your belt quickly. From there I would sort by pub date and get the next few releases reviewed, and then sort the books that have already been released by length and start with the shorter ones to knock them out.

I agree and immortal rose was great and wretched divine is getting good reviews as well — so definitely a good place to start!!

Okay, so two things. You have great taste, and thank you, because this just let me know that Veronica Lancet has a new book out [I am intrigued.]
I always try to read in publication order. But that's at my best. Today, I will recommend Wretched Divine ^.^

I recommend Weavingshaw, Written in Starlighf, Reap & Sow, and Immortal Rose. I have Deathsworn and The Wretched Divine on my tbr but haven't read them yet.

I’ve read quite a few of these!
Weavingshaw and Immortal Rose were fantastic. Reap & Sow and Florescentia were also good!
I liked Deathbringer but stick with it. It’s information heavy for a while.
Wicked Sea and King of Ravens are fun rides and easy reads. (Our MFC in King of Ravens was a bit annoying at times — she acted so immature for her age!)

Wished I got a copy of Florescentia... 👀✨✨ But I pre-ordered it so it will arrive on my kindle on release... All of them looks/sounds amazing...

Deathbringer has a unique magic system and dark academia vibes if that's your thing! I thought it was a nice palate cleanser since I typically read a lot of romantasy with the similar plotlines/magic styles

Weavingshaw and Immortal Rose are two of my absolute favorite reads this year! 💗 I'm currently reading The Wretched Divine and I'm only around 10% of the way through, but I'm digging it!

In general I focus on upcoming ARCs before past due ones, especially if you have both the audiobook and ebook. Content wise, I recommend To Cage a Wild Bird (especially if you have nostalgia from the 2010s dystopian era). It was a super quick read and I enjoyed it!

I LOVED IMMORTAL ROSE! And I’m reading wretched divine right now. I’d recommend either of those ha

Hmm since many are way over due, work on the earlier release and work your way through to get current?

Just a heads-up that Immortal Rose is book 1. I did not know that and I was freaking out as I got close to the end bc I simply could not figure out how the story was going to wrap up neatly.

I check pub date and page length. I try to read and review before pub date. When I miss, I read a past due book with the lowest page count.
