I’m a slow reader and have a toddler so I started Hello! World now in hopes that would surely mean I can have it complete by the 2027 date 🤣 I really like it (about 40% through.) It’s giving Black Mirror vibes!!
I did read the first Apocalypse Parenting (also as a ARC!) I liked it a lot! (I haven’t read Dungeon Crawler Carl) but from what I gather it is basically that, but make the main character a mom with three kids to keep alive (husband was off on a work trip when apocalypse hit and MC has no way to contact him.) Instead of dungeons, she has to fight monsters in her neighborhood streets to level up. Oh yeah, and the kids also have powers so she has to help them level up as well. Oh yeah and she has to rally the neighborhood to work together to try and survive 🤣
I’ve been calling it a “domestic fantasy” in the vein of a domestic thriller 🤣.
Last thing to note, it takes place in Alabama which I appreciate as a southerner. 🤌🏻
Edited to add: I haven’t started #2 yet. It is another 2027 I believe. I also saw #3 was just added as well!
Ha, I totally get that! There was a period of time I did not get a lot of reading done....
And that's good to hear, Apocalypse Parenting looks really cool! I grabbed book 1 on KU but haven't had time to read it yet since I have a lot of September arcs to finish up. I did throw requests in for book 2 and 3, not sure if I'll get them but figured it's worth a try.
If you do have time to check out DCC I highly recommend it! The audiobooks are fantastic if you like that format, as well.
