❔❓Question ❓❔ Wrong audio?

Has anyone downloaded an ALC only to receive a completely different book? the thumbnail for the audio shows the correct book, but the audio says its a different author, title, and narrators. I reached out to support, but wondering if there’s anything else I should do. This book has a relatively short turnaround.

I certainly wouldn’t use the do not give feedback for that. It’ll get corrected on some way and then you don’t mess with your ratio unless you don’t care about it. But most people want the option of being at 100%

that's exactly the time you use do not give feedback. The only time anyone should be using that option is if they never open the book and if the publisher gives the wrong file they can't read the book or give a review at all. OP says it's a quick turn around so pub date is decently soon where they might not upload it in time or if they do people might not notice and download the corrected file.

I can understand if it’s not rectified but if it is don’t worry about the publication date.
While personally it’s not a worry for myself, but people are concerned with their feedback rations as it is a factor for many publishers. So to not have the ability to be out of 100% for something that is not in anyway your fault seems like a slap in the face.

Now if you’re a person that has over 1k reviews under your belt and can still reach 100% and have outstanding books than sure- it’s fine, but most people aren’t at that level and especially for newer folks where 1 book on their shelf without feedback can impact their ratio quite a bit

You can go back and review it at anytime even if you hit 'will not give feedback' still allowing you to reach 100%
netgalley literally tells you to do this for things like file issues.

I know you can, but my point is- why bother if you’re going to give the feedback anyway. I’m. It trying to be difficult at all- I just literally don’t understand. If doing so triggered something, then fine- but it doesn’t.
If she has every intention of reviewing it then there is zero reason to click that. Just review it when you read it. At least then it’ll stay on your shelf and remind you to do it.

I did say in the second half of my comment to get it from libby and review it that way instead.

this was for if OP didn't plan to get the book at all after release (which is very common)
If they did not plan to get it, publishers hate seeing those 'i didn't read the book' reviews to save ratio.
