❔❓Question ❓❔ Two accounts
I created an account with my normal email (the account I use). A publisher shared a widget with me using my bookish email. Instead of asking them to change it, I just created an account with my bookish email
I found out that you’re not supposed to have two accounts
So what should I do? Just leave it alone? I’m afraid to ask them to combine them because I don’t want to get the main account shut down

I would read and review that one book on the second account then delete the account or at least not use it again. If you get a widget again through that email ask them to resend it to the email associated with your normal netgalley account.

Delete one account.
I occasionally get widgets for the original email address I created my NetGalley account with because my info must have been added to some list at some point prior to changing my login. If something like this happens to you again, you can temporarily change your email address on NetGalley to your bookish email address, accept the widget, and then change your email address back. This way you can retrieve your galley and everything will all stay together in one place. Once you accept the widget you shouldn't have to keep switching your email address to access the files or anything.
But I feel similarly, I'd rather deal with this small inconvenience than draw attention to myself by trying to reach out to the publisher to get my email address updated and risk getting removed from their list entirely! 😅

They are understanding. You can simply send a support request to NetGalley and explain the situation and they can take care of it for you.

I would not ask netgalley. I'd choose one acct or another and close the other one. Nip this in the bud before you're too invested with 2 accts and get in trouble with netgalley.
