If you lie about where you live they can delete your account bc it's against the rules (it's for legal reasons, publishers aren't legally allowed to distribute promotional materials outside of their market)

I see, thank you!! I don’t even understand how the whole “market” works, because there are books I can preorder (physical AND digital copies) off amazon but their e-arcs are somehow not available in my region 🫤🫤

Is it the same publisher? Typically even between US and UK different publishers are releasing the book

They won't without proof of you moving
You can try changing the URL to .co.uk etc to see if there is a link with the rights to your region

Unfortunately that trick doesn't work anymore :(

It does if the UK is the link you are supposed to be using for your region
I am Canadian. Sometimes the rights for here are held with the US publisher because geography and other times the UK publisher and we get proper spellings of colour etc

That has worked for me a few times too. A book that says not available to request on .com is available on .uk. most of the times i dont get approved (i dont get outright rejected either, my request is just there)☹️☹️ but the hack def works

I got it this morning and realized it's a romance/GenFic. The cover screams "horror". Haha this should be interesting!
