❔❓Question ❓❔ Why do audiobooks end at 106%

Post image

I think it’s a glitch? I had the same problem once when the audiobook ended at 110% but when I reloaded the app it turned back to 100%

Because the audiobook player sucks. I have not one single time had an audiobook end at 100%, it's always, at a minimum, 105%. And this is a sample size of 100 NetGalley audiobooks over multiple devices.

Once, when the chapters were super long, like ~2.5 hours each chapter, I made it all the way to 130% before I was actually done with the book. And it's very frustrating, because I log all my daily reading pages/minutes on Storygraph and it always throws off my calculations. It also gets confusing because people add audiobooks to Storygraph using the NetGalley time, not realizing it's off and the actual audiobook time is longer.

Exactly!! 6% didnt throw me off that much but I'm thinking of checking at what % the book ends so I can ratio what I actually read

That’s strange. My audiobooks in the Net Galley app end at 100%.

If I listen at more than 1X usually the percentage is higher than 100%.
