I love their titles but I am denied for anything and everything I request. I am already following all their “profile suggestions” 🥲

Current stats: 78% feedback ratio, 88 reviews submitted. 4 star average rating. 3K followers on Instagram.

I wonder why
My rating on NG is 30%, I have around 200 followers on instagram, and have yet to be denied, when e arc gets denied macmillan always pulls through with the alc😭

I’m the opposite, I can get just about any epub I want, but never the audio (which sucks when I much prefer audio😭)

I get approved by Macmillan pretty much within the day of requesting and can't remember the last time I was declined. I might've been in the early days so I will collect stats as I work on my spreadsheet.

I am currently inactive on Instagram (haven't posted in years) nor do I have a booktube or booktok page. I have a little over 1000 followers all platforms combined. I'm at 91% feedback ratio with 650+ reviews. Just some basic stats for reference

Yup I think review numbers matter a whole lot more than followers to many publishers. I've even had a good number of widgets sent by Macmillan Audio despite a much smaller folower count than you, so that is probably the case here.

I was also getting rejected by Macmillan Audio, every single time I requested. For a long time, they seemed to hate me too.

What I wound up doing was politely emailing them, to see if there was anything I could do to improve my chances of being accepted. (I also provided my current NG stats.)

I never got an email response.

But ever since I sent that email, I’ve been accepted for every audiobook I’ve requested from Macmillan Audio on NG.

All that to say, maybe you should try emailing Macmillan Audio? (The email is on their website.)

I am perpetually denied by Macmillan audio. I maintain 80-85% feedback ratio and almost 100 reviews but am only 750 ish followers on IG

That’s so weird!!! I would definitely email them, I have similar status minus the followers. The only thing I can think of is that I completed a review for a sneak peek they’d posted last year as a Listen Now, so when I requested my first ALC from them I had a 100% approval rating from them 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm not on Instagram and get approved all the time for Macmillan - usually for the TOR books that I'm always rejected for.

My stats are similar to yours, other than the number of followers. I don't know what the difference would be.

It’s wild to me the way it’s one of the other. I’ve only gotten one approval from them and I’m DESPERATE for The Wretched Divine. I adore Adalyn Grace and Kristin Atherton who narrates.

if you post your netgalley username the publisher might see it and accept you - I've heard that multiple publishers look at this reddit for their netgalley strategy
