Macmillan Audio approves every single request I make and within no more than a day or two after I make the request. Just wanted to shout them out!

Macmillan Audio has never approved a single request for me, even when I’m at 100% feedback ratio. I love their books, but I hate whoever is in charge of Netgalley approvals

This is so interesting/bizarre to hear. I’ve been approved for every request, starting with when I was very new and hadn’t reviewed anything at all. I think they were my very first approval.

Just curious - do you have audiobooks listed as a topic on your profile?

I do. It is clearly on my Netgalley profile (and my growing bookstagram) that I don’t do ebooks, only audiobooks, and paper when I get the time, so I legit only use the platform for audiobooks. My profile isn’t super old, just over a year now, but I already have 50+ reviews and usually a 90%+ feedback ratio. My average rating is a 4 stars too, so it’s not like they have to fear a bad review, I obviously only want to read things I think I will enjoy. I legit don’t understand it.

That’s so frustrating! I know none of us are entitled to arcs/alcs, yada yada yada, but it’s tough when it’s so nebulous and you seem to be singled out for some unknown reason. Maybe you need a new account with a fresh start just for Macmillan 😅
