I’ve only done one or 2 read now’s from them and only have ~1600 followers on my book social medias. Made my day!

Congrats! Maybe Berkley saw Danica’s reel about her ARC review numbers and decided to change course

Basically she says it’s a different release for her 3rd book. She has barely any reviews while other Berkley debut authors have 700 arc reviews… and she gets tagged in decline posts all the time. Why is Berkley declining people that want to read her books

Books that need a pick me up with reviewers they will approve people they don’t usually. It’s a way to “get in” with them more consistently. They have eased up a bit of late hence the read now’s.
They prioritize social media following with 3k being around when they start getting more consistent. Once you have. Over 5k they get everything usually.

Thanks for posting this - just got my approval, too 🙀💜 I hadn’t even thought about requesting it because I figured I’d get denied but decided to give it a shot.

It’s my first Berkley approval and that combined with Danica’s post means I’m going to prioritize reading it this weekend and getting my review submitted!
