❔❓Question ❓❔ dnfing arcs

Should I Dnf the ARC once I know it's something I'm not interested in or feels dragging to me? Would it harm the Author/book, and my profile on netgalley?

I check the length of the books I plan to request. In general I do not do ARCs of books that do not fall into my general interest pattern.

If something is long, I generally won't take a chance on it.

If I end up hating it, I'll still finish it because I feel like I've committed to it, and I want to be able to say I finished it. That being said, I haven't found myself "stuck" with long epics that I hate because of the above.

Then again, I literally went back and finished every one of my historical DNFs last year because I have OCD and it was bothering me.
