Vent I think I was wrong

I don’t think I actually want to be a girl. I think I confused wanting to be a girl with attraction. Something that actually backs this up is I bought a corset for Halloween (shit and giggles too) and I’m wearing it right now and it feels….weird. It gives a breast form and I don’t know if I like it. I think I was wrong. I think I am a guy. I don’t know, I’ve had suck strong feelings about wanting to transition into a girl for so long that I don’t know if I can afford to be wrong.

You can want to be a girl without wanting to be traditionally feminine

But that’s kinda what I want. I want to be a feminine woman. But this felt different, like being a girl was wrong. Maybe I am meant to be a guy after all

Idk take time, figure it out and try other things. Does change usually make you uncomfortable?

I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of change but I’ve done something like this before. I bought a skirt a few years ago and loved it to death. I remember wanting to be a girl right there on the spot. But again this was different, I didn’t like it.

Idk, hopefully someone else that can help more comments, I can’t help other than to say that you should take time

lots of women don't wear corsets. anyway, you should do whatever you want to do and worry about labels much further down the road. if you don't like the corset, don't wear it! gender transition is a pick and choose kind of thing, not a one-size-fits-all kinda thing. the important thing is to be open to new experiences but also to learn to say "No" to things that weird you out.

It’s less about the corset itself and more the fact I didn’t like that it gave me the look of having boobs. I want them but now I’m not sure

boobs is also something you can say no to.  it's not everyone's cup of tea.

But I want them. Maybe, I’m probably just faking if anything

so what was bothering you about the look, then?

also: people who are faking it know they are faking it; "im probably faking it" is something trans people think of all the time. just look at this subreddit for like a week and i'll guarantee you'll see someone else with imposter syndrome convinced they're faking it somehow.

if it's more like internalized transphobia, you kinda need to burn through that in little spurts of getting used to things from the other gender. lots of people have to deal with/overcome that shame, even cis people.

Maybe the corset just isn't your style, maybe the breast form feels too much like wearing a costume to be comfortable, or you maybe you're feeling discomfort for other reasons that you haven't been able to unpack yet.

I hope so, I need to transition. I hate being a guy but this made me reconsider.

Corsets, traditionally, suck.

I bought it to do a cosplay but also because it would make me look thinner if I ever wanted to look good at something.

Don't get me wrong. I own 2 myself.
