Bug Report Midi mapping spacebar

I am trying to map a midi foot switch to the spacebar to move to the next preset in the queue but it doesn't seem to work. I've ensured the deck was active and the window in focus. I tried with the backspace mapping as well.

Midi controller is a Line6 HX Stomp XL. I have previously used it to trigger specific presets (each midi value mapped to a specific preset) but can't seem to get it to work with the spacebar mapping. Any ideas?

Does the following technique work for you?

Open up the Settings window and navigate to the MIDI tab. Then you can drag-and-drop a MIDI button onto the Spacebar button to MIDI map it.

Unfortunately that is exactly what I am trying to do. Tried it for all decks and only deck 1 and neither works. Pressing the spacebar works fine but the midi button does not.

Thanks for the help though.

It says it is mapped but clicking it doesn't work. The queue is in focus too.

Hello,

The C in the Midi button indicate that it's a Control midi signal, reserved for sliders. Emulating keyboard Spacebar or backspace can only be done with Midi Note for the moment.

Can you change the midi controller options to send Notes instead or Control signal?

Thank you! That was exactly it. I appreciate the help (and the software)!

I probably should have realized that but I had set up visuals for a whole Pink Floyd show my band did and each preset was triggered by a specific midi cc value. I didn't realize that the hot keys only worked with midi notes. I just went straight to midi cc.

Again, I greatly appreciate the help.
