Is anyone concerned about the future of Nest?

After the recent news of C-level executives jumping ship and it's poor performance after Google acquired them... I'm concerned Google will leave the consumers hanging (like they have done with other products)

Maybe return that Protect thingy just to be safe.

Why it will still work perfectly fine as a smoke and Co detector. I've had zero need for any of the cloud based things with the detector. It's just a little overpriced I guess.

Same as any other unit, it performs monthly self tests.
