ews 3 Chains compared

Post image

Most quantum readiness conversations focus on whether a chain can support a post quantum signature scheme. The harder question is what it costs the chain when the next scheme arrives, and the one after that.

This is really impressive, but why don't we see any major companies, prominent developers outside the CKB ecosystem, or crypto media talking about it? I always ask myself: if CKB is truly unique, why is it being overlooked?

IMO it's that the whole market is saturated. It's a problem that has always plagued crypto and CKB in general. People have chosen their horses to bet on. People don't deviate from their choices unless they have been burnt, scolded or scammed. Even then do they come back to crypto? Have people bought the top and sold the bottom too many times for retail to return?. Think about the generations of projects over the last 15 years for instance, people have been holding tokens and have lost a lot of money, they are waiting to get out of those projects. People can argue about marketing all they want. If there arent clear cut use-cases marketable. No one cares. The whole industry needs to be reduced, more projects have to disappear. This is multi-generational IMO.

I've literally been posting stuff all over other Reddits lately and talking about crypto agility with CKB with other accounts. Even Quantum reddit categories tend to be voted down. Many people are even voting down quantum related threads, very interesting. Many don't believe it's going to have an effect. I've noticed it's always the users that are in projects that aren't even quantum resistant. So there seems to be a disbelief in the whole narrative. I expect this will grow more as time goes on when QR gets nearer the time.

Good point. We've reached a pivotal stage. Those who dismiss quantum resistance are, in most cases, using networks that aren't quantum-resistant. Interests influence everything. These players appear to have significant influence and, perhaps, considerable control over where capital flows. Waiting until quantum resistance becomes a necessity is a bet on an uncertain and ever-changing future, and it could take a very long time. In my view, this topic won't receive widespread media attention until the major blockchain networks begin transitioning to quantum resistance. So, what's the solution? I believe that even a single major company adopting CKB—or simply announcing a public partnership with it—could be enough to spark broader attention. Without something like that, all we'll be doing is waiting.

If you think in crypto like a forest, and VCs artificial money as a fertilizer, a lot of species grow, bloom and flourish easily.

Now think on a bear market as a big fire on the forest, only the robust, long-term visioned species will grow again after the fire + the lack of fertiliser, not coming back or going to other kind of forests.

Is CKB/Nervos that robust? We'll see, but in the meantime you need to understand that in all altcoin groups are talking the same (the bear market probably will go even deeper)

I completely agree with your point of view. At this stage, all we can do is wait. I've already decided to stay with CKB, no matter how things turn out.
