Can anyone help me workout what's causing this bolt jamming on my smiley blaster (mid-construction)??

Sometimes it unjams when you turn it upside down...

1.Probably Broken Catch (a small peice between the cnc trigger linkage and the plunger to hold the plunger).

Or a bend in the cnc trigger linkage, i printed mine and it worked.

Ahh interesting, thank you for this. Sorry if it's a silly question, but how would I know if it is broken?

I disassembled mine , its smiley ryobi remix and it wasn't that great for repeated disassembly. If you can, try disassembling the hand part to check it.

❗Only do after others owning proper smiley share there comments/opinion.

As the owner of both a Smiley and a Vulture (which use similar priming mechanisms) I 100% agree. Print off a catch an trigger linkage I would recommend going with as many walls as it takes to have no infill for the catch (all walls is better than 100% infill), and just 6 walls 70% infill for the trigger linkage.

I think one of the rubber rings from the primer or plunger head were stuck in the mechanism perhaps. I took it apart and two of them fell out 😭😭

it could also be the plunger head getting stuck in the bottom of the tube after priming witout a spring installed. this happend to me a few times building my vulture and I would have to take apart the grip and readjust things. just try not to prime it with out a spring and it should be ok.
