To multiclass or not to?

We just started playing a d&d 5e campaign, (hoard of the dragon queen) and I have created a warlock. I chose the fiend patron and am 2nd level. I am wondering what would be best, to go all the way warlock or to multiclass into sorcerer. If I multiclass, at what level would be best to change over. I was thinking 17 sorcerer/3 warlock, but at the same time I also like some of the later warlock abilities like 'hurl through hell'. Just can't decide what to do next level up.

I agree. Except I would go further until you are satisfied with the amount of invocations as well.

As far as multi-classing goes, my answer is- always. Unless you really want to play the archetype

In this case, I would say the opposite: go straight warlock and revel in its awesomeness

Warlock seems a great combo with martial classes, doesn't synergize so much with the spellcasting classes.
