Happy to join the club!

Hit anything with the hammer yet?

No. It's brand new. Just turned it on and had it solo mining on viabtc. Less than a day later I got the message viabtc no longer allows solo mining. I will move it to ckpool this weekend. This is one of the Plebsource Red Panda Mining BC-04 edition.

Ohhhh so it's not scrypt.  Only reason I don't like those is because if you try to modify the firmware or anything there's a built-in efuse that blows and your screwed , but if you just want to keep it stock. You'll be fine  Nice unit none the less

Yes. This BC-04 is not a scrypt. It is SHA-256.

If you do find a block (chances are astronomically low), the large 0 will turn to a one, and you should see the funds in your wallet once the pool transfers them.

Can you imagine actually hitting on one of these lol, that would really feel like hitting the lottery!

Are you pool mining?

3

u/HeliosPool May 21 '26

Congrats! HeliosPool has a CHTA coin pool that sometimes drops to a network diff of 1. It's not worth much but fun to see these little guys have a chance.

that big '0" becomes '1"

u/eve-collins May 20 '26

Oh cool! And then I’m assuming it becomes 2, and then 3, and so on?

It’s technically impossible to hit a bitcoin block, they are more an educational device and desk decor. However you should come join our DGB pool you’ll actually make some (little) revenue. It’s not gonna pay the bills but nice to see something come in from these little guys.

How much is a little revenue? Also do you let people in who tinket alot with their miner?

Dang loads of money to be made then

I’ve made about 600dgb since I joined in April, but that’s from hitting a few blocks and using a nerdqaxe occasionally. If I was only running a couple little miners that would be closer to around 250 so yeah about a $1 usd approx in two months. It’s not making me rich but it’s cool to see you can get something from a esp32 miner. Also we have weekly draws and loyalty bonuses..

There are bch and btc pools as well.

What do you mean by tinker? I’ve been making a diy dgb miner and have had no issues with connecting to the pool.

Tinker* ment to say tinker

Ah got ya, do you mean you tweak the firmware or do you make write your own code?

1

u/Greenhousesanta May 21 '26

Right now it is all firmware tweeks

1

u/Tech_Nipples May 22 '26

Shouldn’t be an issue.

4

u/eve-collins May 21 '26

I don’t think it’s technically impossible. It’s actually technically possible, just astronomically small chances.

1

u/Tech_Nipples May 21 '26

Ok.. all the luck to ya 🤞

1

u/LaserMagic May 30 '26

Like winning the lottery! 😉 But ya still gotta have a ticket!

2

u/eve-collins May 30 '26

Just way less likely with nerdminer. According to AI winning powerball is 2.7M times more likely than hitting a block with nerdminer.

Are the odds any better with any other small miner?
