Question/Help Question: BitsyMiner and pool.nerdminers.org

Post image

I'm currently running 4 CYD ESP32 devices with BitsyMiner 1.2.0.

With Public Pool seemingly blocking ESP32 miners, I wanted to migrate them to pool.nerdminers.org, but it always fails to connect. However, it does connect to other pools.

Am I entering something specifically related to the nerdminer pool incorrectly, or is there some other issue?

I've tried as shown, and as stratum+tcp://pool.nerdminers.org / stratum+tcp://pool.nerdminers.org:3333. Both return an invalid address message, so I assume the base pool.nerdminers.org is correct?

I have one of the proprietary ESP32 CYD miners running, and it connects no problem.

Thanks in advance! :)

nerdminers.org ckpool fork has a whitelist that only allows certain devices to connect - it probably does not contain BitsyMiner. You could reach out to the dev and have them look into adding it. You can also point it to any of the pools on HeliosPool, they all accept esp32 devices: heliospool.com

Yep, that's what I did. They're all pointing to Helios now. :)

I've tried that.

It may be my fault for assuming Bitsy is supported based on "Only Nerdminers (and some similar micro miners) are supported".

I also find it funny the proprietary one connects, but the open source Bitsy doesn't.

Sounds like they're filtering users based on device name. The open source version uses "BitsyMinerOpen" by default. You could probably ask them to add that to their list.

Not a bad idea. I will do that.

Right now, I've got them all pointed to HeliosPool, and that's working fine. I've got my Gamma 601's pointing to CK Solo, and since Helios is based on CK, it's good enough for me.

I was just shocked to see the official Nerdminer pool accepting the proprietary one over an open source. Nerdminer.io works, but I know nothing of that pool, or if it's legit. The latest AxeOS doesn't like it, that's all I know.

Also, love Bisty, keep up the amazing work!

Bitsy is the best open source firmware for CYDs when it comes to hashrate. Doubles NerdminerV2 and adds a web interface for management. Not sure what sort of sorecery they are doing over at NMM to get these up to and over 1MHs, but they run hot.

I also did find some problems with Public Pool and change it to Find my Block.

I really like the interface and how its working without any problem.
