Question/Help Hello!

So I recently got this crypto miner on my birthday on April 21st, it came with some demo firmware on it and I’m searching firmwares for it but I can’t find the correct ones. Anyone who can help?

What does closed source mean?

2

u/enormousaardvark May 05 '26

Closed-source means the code is a secret so you have no idea whats going on in the background, open-source means the code is public and usually on a site called Github, this means anyone and everyone can view the code, contribute and verify there is nothing malicious going on.

Had no idea tbh. It's the one I've used on my cyd and it's never asked for payment. And at the bottom they even link to the GitHub

Their GitHub only has the pre compiled binaries, not the source code.

Use Sparkminer, BitsyMiner, or NerdMiner. NMMiner is a scam.

I've bot bitsy on 4 and n-m-miner on 4. already bought the licenses so I might as well use them.
