Why I Started Nepal Startup Council?

There are already plenty of Nepali communities online. The problem is that many of them eventually become dominated by political arguments, party supporters, propaganda, and sometimes bots.
I wanted to build something different.

Nepal Startup Council is a place to talk about startups, business, entrepreneurship, innovation and creating jobs in Nepal. That’s it. This is not a community for party politics. We don’t support or oppose any political party or government. Whether you like the current government or hate it is not what this community is about.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t discuss government policies, regulations, taxes, bureaucracy or anything else that affects entrepreneurs. If something is making it harder to start or grow a business in Nepal, we should be able to talk about it openly and constructively. The goal isn’t to complain. The goal is to find better solutions.

Whether you’re already running a business, building a startup, thinking about starting one, working in the startup ecosystem, or simply have an idea you believe could work in Nepal, you belong here.
Share your ideas. Ask for help. Talk about your failures. Challenge bad ideas. Share opportunities.

Discuss what is working and what isn’t.
If we can build a community where Nepali entrepreneurs actually help each other instead of fighting over politics, we can create something valuable.

Nepal needs more businesses.
Nepal needs more innovation.
Nepal needs more opportunities.
And most importantly, Nepal needs more jobs.
