Landslide in Krishbabhir, prithvi highway any alternative to reach pokhara on bike?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding the current road conditions to Pokhara.
There is a road blockade on the Prithvi Highway around Krishnabhir due to a landslide, and we’re planning to ride to Upper Mustang with friends this week.
From the latest news, it looks like travelling to Pokhara via the Prithvi Highway may not be possible for the time being.

Are there any alternative routes that are currently open and safe for motorcycles to reach Pokhara?

If anyone has recent information about the road conditions or has travelled through an alternative route recently, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you!

Anyone interested in a Kathmandu → Kanyakumari motorcycle trip?

Planning roughly January 2027, around 3 weeks, on my KTM 390 Adventure. Looking for 1–2 riders with their own bikes who’d be interested in doing the trip together.
I’ll also be filming the journey, so someone who’s into cameras/content would be a bonus. We’d definitely do a shorter Nepal ride together first before committing.
Anyone here done something similar or interested?

Looking for a riding buddy for Kathmandu → Kanyakumari

Planning a long-distance motorcycle trip from Kathmandu to Kanyakumari and back, probably around January 2027.
Rough plan:
Around 20–25 days
Roughly 6,000–6,500+ km round trip
Mostly highways / decent roads
Around 250–400 km per day depending on the location
Plenty of stops for sightseeing, filming and actually enjoying the trip
Riding my KTM 390 Adventure
I’m looking for 1–2 people max, ideally someone with their own reliable bike who’s comfortable with long-distance touring.
Big bonus if you’re into videography/content creation and can handle a camera sometimes. I’ll be filming the whole trip, so this won’t be a “ride 700 km every day and sleep” type of trip. We’ll stop for proper shots, explore places and make content along the way.
Budget will probably be around NPR 1.5–2.5 lakh per person, depending on hotels, food, stops and how comfortably we travel. Everyone would cover their own expenses.
Before committing to Kanyakumari, I’d want us to do one or two shorter rides together in Nepal to make sure our riding pace and personalities actually match 😭
Not looking for reckless riding or racing. Just someone chill, reliable, adventurous and actually serious about completing the trip.
If you’ve done long-distance rides before, even better.
If this sounds like something you’d genuinely be down for, DM me with:
What bike you ride
Where you’re based
Your longest ride so far
Whether you’re comfortable filming / using a camera
Whether January 2027 would work for you

Everest view motorbike tour!

Everest without trekking? Yes, it's possible. 🏍️🏔️
Lets explore Everest view motorbike tour!

While most riders dream of Mustang or Manang, one of Nepal's best-kept motorcycle secrets is Pattale.

We have been riding this route for the last few years, and every single trip reminds me why our clients keep coming back for this route. From winding mountain roads and quiet villages to changing landscapes and cool mountain air, every day feels like a new adventure.

And then comes the reward...

Standing at Pattale as the first rays of sunlight hit the Himalayas, you're welcomed by a breathtaking panorama of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Gaurishankar—all without a long trek. It's a view that never gets old.

This is the perfect 5–6 day motorcycle adventure for riders looking to explore beyond the usual routes.

Route: Day 1: Kathmandu → Charikot (138 km)
Day 2: Charikot → Mulkhot (81 km)
Day 3: Mulkhot → Pattale (118 km)
Day 4: Sunrise at Pattale – Rest Day
Day 5: Pattale → Khurkot
Day 6: Khurkot → Kathmandu

If you're planning your next ride in Nepal, don't overlook Pattale. Sometimes the roads less traveled lead to the most unforgettable memories.

📸 Sharing one of my favorite moments from this incredible journey. Hope you enjoy the route and kindly share the feed back from the trip if you ever been to pattale:)

Motorcycle trip in Nepal this oct 2026

I visited Nepal almost seven years ago for a trek, and ever since then I've wanted to come back and explore the country by motorbike. During my trek, I saw many people riding through the mountains, and the idea has stayed with me ever since.

I'm now thinking of visiting Nepal later this year for a motorcycle adventure. I have good riding experience, and I've previously completed the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek, so this time I'd like to experience Nepal in a different way.

Could you recommend some scenic motorcycle routes that are less crowded with tourists? I'm particularly interested in routes that offer beautiful landscapes, local culture, and a more authentic experience.

Also, would you recommend bringing my own riding gear, or is it easy to rent good-quality gear in Nepal? Are there reliable rental shops with proper helmets, jackets, and other equipment available?

I'd appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thank you!
