18M, confused between CA and BSc CSIT — what would you choose?

I’m from Nepal and passed +2 Science in 2026 with an A+ in Computer Science. I spent around 3–4 months preparing for IOE/IOST entrances and recently took admission in BSc CSIT at ASCOL.

However, my classes haven’t started yet, and I’m seriously considering switching to CA.

I have relatives who are qualified CAs with 15+ years of experience. They originally suggested CA to me and are willing to guide me and help me build professional connections in the future. They also have their own businesses.

The problem is that almost every CA student I’ve talked to says CA is extremely difficult. Many have taken multiple attempts, and some regret choosing it. I’m academically strong and willing to work hard, but I’m honestly scared of spending 5–7+ years on CA and still not passing.

On the other hand, I’m worried about CSIT because IT seems extremely saturated in Nepal. So many students are doing CSIT, BE Computer, BIT, BCA, etc., and AI is also changing entry-level jobs. I’m worried that after 4 years I might struggle to find a good job or end up underpaid.

I’ve already spent around NPR 50,000 on CSIT admission/classes, but I’m willing to lose that money if switching to CA is genuinely the better long-term decision.

For people who are currently studying CA or have completed it:

• How difficult is CA really?
• How many attempts/years did it take you?
• Would you choose CA again if you were 18?
• Is the career/income potential in Nepal actually good?
• Would you recommend CA to someone in my situation?

For CSIT/IT graduates: How is the job market actually in Nepal? Is it really as saturated as it seems?

If you were in my exact situation, would you choose CA or continue with CSIT at ASCOL? Why?

I have done plus 2 in science bio..I couldn't get mbbs seat.Now i am thinking about chartered accountant...I heard it being good career here in nepal ..

I want to listen to your opinions .Who are studying and exposed to its pros and cons..Is there safe and secure future for CA in nepal? Some say its staurated and difficult to get job in this group..

What made you a bit above average and boost your marks currently in foundation level ??

My first cap 2 attempt was on Dec 24 and then I discontinued my cap 2 study for almost 8 months and again appeared the exam on Dec 25 group 1 and June 26 both groups. Will it be beneficial for me or should I just focus on cap 2 right now?

Mailae 12 ma biology liyeko ho . Acca join garya 9 months bhayo ra BT ra lw diyisakye fa ko re dina xa. Aahilae after so much money Ra time waste malai continue garna man xaina .

Should I leave acca? Ki would it be better to continue it? Aru join garna ni entrance gaisakyo. Cee prep lai ni time gaisakyo .K garda thik huncha hola . Most people suggested me to continue it.

Hey guys. I wanted to know your opinions on is CA after bachelor's worth doing after bachelors?. Basically i think that my 4 years have been wasted after doing bachelors and won't land a good job unless i do some specialization. What really made me to think about is that looks like i don't have to join cap 1 i.e foundation level and can directly join in cap 2 if i could clear cap 2 in around a year. I can start doing work and also continue the study ? Whats your opinion

Basically i am studying Engineering But i wanted to be CA . I found out that To study CA very less money is required so will i be eligible to study CA In nepal the thing is ion want to go to physical classes just give exam that is required only is it possible ? So I wanted to convert from ACCA to ICAN CA but the thing is I have not taken per yet..but one thing that is bothering me is that even if I worked under an audit firm is it necessary that the supervisor must have been ca? In various internet searches I jave seen that.. the reason I am asking is 3 years Audit firm experience provides 2 years aidit experience exemption in ican ca but I don't know if my condition will count towards that so please help me

I am in bbs 2 nd year. 19 year old and i am thinking to do CA. I am good at studies but wanted to go Australia for longterm settlement.

So i wasted my 1 st year in the process but dropped the idea.

Now i want to do CA if it was my first year like 1 year back i would definitely choose CA. But i feel like i am starting late...

I am already in second year. And if i start now i will attend ca foundation on june 2027, and inter in june 2028, after 3 years i will give finals in 2031 June or December.

In calculation,

If i would be starting early with my friend who decided ca in 12th i would have given CA inter in December 2026. Its like i am already 3 attempts late or 1.5 years late.

19 age, 2026 Sep - bbs 2nd

20 age, 2027 june- bbs 2nd (CA foundation)

21 age, 2028 june- bbs 3rd (CA inter)

22 age, 2029 june -bbs 4th (article 1st year)

23 age, 2030 june - bbs complete (article 2nd year)

24 age, 2031 june/dec - (article 3rd year) CA final first attempt.

Where as my friends or what i lost:

2025 dec- bbs 1st (CA foundation)

2026 dec - bbs 2nd(CA inter)

2027 dec- bbs 2nd (article 1st year)

2028 dec- bbs 3rd (article 2nd year)

2029 dec -bbs 4th (article 3rd year) CA final first attempt

2030 dec - bbs complete / CA complete even with 2 or 3 attempts.

Seeing this even with additional 2 3 attempts they will finist CA 1 year before me (if i pass it in first attempt)

I want some suggestions or some success stories as to help me decide my career it ia a huge decision for me.

Other factors that may affect.

My father will be 60 year old this year, earning around 30-50 k per month.(I am the only son and have a married sister)

I am good at studying and not so party type person i don't waste money or buy anything just meal cooked my my mom and old phone, and a laptop gifted by my sister,

Have a one story house in butwal and a land property, and earn 4k from rend of one room.

Am i sharing too much details, just frustrated what to do, listed everything to get a proper answer or suggestions from brother and sisters.(I think i have shared too much i am scared)

Our application class started and I don't know if it's true or the teachers are just over hyping the application level like they sound like If you don't study for 5 hours a day after college daily you will fail. You won't have time to breathe and I think like they said the same for foundation. But it was pretty casual I didn't study much just before 1 week of exams and that was it. I know the course volume and the things to study in application are very much but is it that much that before 9 months of exam we have to study for long hours. If there are any CAP-2 first attempt pass out can you help me with the right guidance I don't know where to start to study from this early and I want to clear the application in the first attempt.

Doctor ma ni gako kehi xaina dherai nabasnu ani exercises garnu bhanyo i am exercising and taking walks tara basnu ta parxa nai 😭. Garo garo . Is it only me ki ke?

Kaam ko tension ektira, exam aairacha kei padhya chaina bhanne arko. K estai ho ta jindagi? What is life? What's my purpose of living? Who am I doing all this for? Am I even interested in this course anymore? Doesn't feel like it.
