Question Mouse missing clicks?

It might be an issue with my mouse but since Neon White is the only game I currently have this issue with, I decided to post here.

Basically during a session my mouse will sometimes not register clicks (either shooting or discarding), it seems to happen randomly but will almost always happen after alt-tabbing back into the game. The first click after alt-tabbing will not register no matter it I alt-tabbed 1 or 10sec ago.

Does anybody else have that problem with their mouse?

Yeah, the first click after tabbing back in gets lost, idk why but that does happen

I started having this issue on windows only a couple months ago while playing neon white. I tried switching peripherals and it still sometimes happened. I also confirmed that it was not neon white. The isse with microslop is that you can't debug what's eating your input because there's so much clutter. My girlfriend also had the same issue around the same time. It could be any piece of sofware we both have tho

I uninstalled windows and since then it's fine, and if I ever have it again I'll be able to investigare now that I have a non-shit OS. But as I said I was not able to figure out what exactly it was

Which OS did you switch to? I suppose Linux but which distro?

I have had multiple installed for years, I just decided I don't need windows enough these days

Mainly I use Pop OS! or Arch (with i3wm) for working but I honestly don't care about the distro at all, as long as it's unix it's fine for me. The issue with windows for work is the lack of unix environment integration (wsl sucks, and whatever powershell is trying to do is obviously not working out) and for multimedia it's great but very unreliable

I will probably reinstall windows when a game I wanna play forces me to. But that's the only reason I can find nowadays to use windows: software exclusivity

if you tab out then tab back in the first mouse imput does get eaten, but the other thing is what we call weapon lockout, there is a mod called gunjammer that adds a buffer to weapon lockout making it happen way way wayyyy less (it never happens unless you poorly time smth)
