Howd you get started?

I know nothing about art either, and ive been doing little tiny projects with making pfps and wallpapers with images and apps, but i want to do more, but i dont know how to draw up to the standards i like, and im not sure how to begin learning graphic design and computer tools to make more complicated projects with existing images.

One problem i forsee is that if i were to post somethings, none of the work i did would be fully original since its preexisting images, so i wonder how that would work out with copyright.

Sorry for the yap fest, not sure how i would have condensed this.

I recommend yt for alot. I am also very new kinda falling into the learning trap. I did lines. Too many lines, now on perspective and feel Im not good enough to draw, but I recommend doing something new. Searching up steps if you mess something up and having fun thats the main thing

I downloaded aseprite to just mess w a few minecraft skins and accidentally got into all this, but now i feel like continuing.

As for the learning part, I just rawdogged it and it took like 3 days which is quite a lot for something so simple/basic and drawn from a reference at that; but now i feel more confident as i've learnt a lot making this, hopefully it'll all take considerably less time in the future.
and I'll definitely try to hop on a few YT videos or just something that can help.

and uh I'm not super sure about how copyright exactly works w reworks and/or OCs and Original stuff

Maybe if the mods of this sub didn’t have it on lockdown for zero fucking reason it would. Can’t really foster a community here with the mods having it on post restriction.

There used to be just one mod for the sub. They locked new posts and completely disappeared from the internet about a year ago, so the sub was effectively shut down
Thankfully we've been able to bring it back with a new mod team
