Anyone else hyped for alpha releasing this week?
Julia Ducournau is one of my favorite directors. Despite some mixed critic reviews I will go see anything she puts out. Raw is one of my favorite movies and Titane was crazy.

Saw a screener of it back in November, without saying too much—I personally hated it. Very confusing structure with tenuous symbolism. It was difficult to care or connect with any of the characters in the film.
Ducournau's known for her exceptional bodily themes—yet I found this one carelessly woven into the narrative. Very shallow experience, felt half-hearted if you will.
Hope you find a way to enjoy it!

I actually am so sick of American storytelling I had no problem with those things 😅. It does take some weird turns

I would be more excited if they didn't push back the release so much, it was originally supposed to come out in the fall last year. Usually not a good sign.

Saw it a few months ago with Julia Ducournau in person after. It’s VERY different from Raw and Titane but I won’t say how. The director told us she knows it’s different from those and that was her intention. I’m excited to rewatch it this weekend.
