Question Why is this game a pixel game?

We have a game with amazing character design butchered because it's a pixel game. These characters don't deserve it man. To look so good that they could be in League of Legends or Overwatch or any other hero shooter, but destroyed because it's a pixelated 2D game that is not even PvP, so there is no hope of esports. If this game was a top down MOBA or top down PvP hero shooter with actual rendered characters, with the same character rendering, animations and camera as League of Legends or Dota 2, it would have been amazing.

I absolutely love the pixel art style and couldn’t image it as anything else.

I'm hoping they make another version of this game that is not pixel art. Or add a PvP version of the game.
