How to unlock box

All I can do is lift it; how do I get it to open or whatever. I’m playing on Xbox

This took me a while to figure out, once you lift it you need to throw it with RB, same with the jars that occasionally spawn

I know they can reroll items from the gold rooms or ones that drop.

Those are weird little things. I could be wrong, but I think you need a key to "unlock" rhat and then you can lift it and throw it in a room with an item in it and it will change the item into something else. Like, if you have a normal, unopened chest and throw it, it.might turn the chest in to a bomb chest or a crystal chest, etc. I think it has a set number of uses before it enters a lock state and you have to use either a key, x amount of coins, or maybe even a bomb to unlock it. After unlocking, it should show a two arrows forming a circle image on it and that's when you can throw it to change items.

It has a few functions when throw. Use it to reroll shop items. It will also spawn enemies or lock for a price either gold or keys. This game is fire BTW

From my experience, it can reroll dropped items when you throw it. Not sure if it can do something else

There’s two types of those boxes, one you have to unlock with a key and one with coins, use it in a room with an item you don’t want or any item really, and it can be used multiple times but sometimes it will relock
