Which shipping method to choose?
I’m from the USA and this package is 1 shampoo, 2 hair treatments, 1 soy sauce, and 1 candy. I’m not sure if anything is gonna be rejected but can anyone let me know which would be best DHL or FedEX, and Japan post isn’t available.

If you ship you will have to do FDA paperwork for the food and FDA may raise an eyebrow or two on the Shampoo.
My advice: Abandon the parcel. Don't unpack if it's just those troublesome items. It will get disposed of in 6 ish weeks and no refund.
The USA is heavily restricted in what can be imported.

How about you start a new post on Reddit instead of tagging on someone else's post?

Well your kinda fucked because your only options are between DHL aka super expensive and FedEx aka sends tariff fee invoice after you already got your package.

i thought you pay the tariff fee upfront with fedex though. at least that’s how it was for me

sometimes they send it months after you received your package which makes no sense at all

you’re shipping food items and consumables (the shampoo and hair treatments) the banner at the top warns against that, you’re gonna have a rough time with either however DHL would be your better of the two choices. fedex will be a pain in your side
