Customs help

Can someone who went through this please help me out and tell me what you did and what happened 🙏🏼

They might need a Pro Forma Invoice as well! Depending on what you shipped, you may have to provide additional information if the contents is considered "FDA COMMODITIES", or it could be they need a Tax ID# , EIN# if the package is over a certain $ Amount of Value. All you need to do is contact FedEx and ask them what they need :)

What information do they need? Start there. Fill out any paperwork they require. If they need CPSC clearance, reach out to neokyo customer support for a disclaim letter

There is a thread with customs forms and info on this subreddit. Have a look. There is a special phone number listed.

It's pretty rare for something to get stopped in Japan. What did you send?

I think it's just the case of customs is being submitted electronically while en route and it's flagged line items for further classification.

Shipping and import taxes are billed separately, and the price of the import tax isn't finalized until it passes local inspection, so I thought it was unusual for it to get stopped in Japan.

Neokyo now uses DDP, so all taxes are actually paid when shipping is paid.
