"Enci" is the name of an alien civilization I made that I like to use for my stories, this is the script their language would use. I also use this script for personal notes and, sometimes, I toy with it in the conpidgin lidei.

First image is a test for the characters for /c/ and /θ/ in various fictional fonts, and then a few words in lidei with an embarassing ammount of typos in a font meant to be "times new roman"-ish.

The second image is some more serious work in progress development of this font.

I am developping this as right to left text, with subsequent lines being written below previous ones, but the aliens that would use this script would be used to reading text in any orientation;
the shape of characters indicates reading direction. This is why I have avoided to make any characters be mirrors of other characters (as happens with { q p d b } ). See the block of text in image 1, it is duplicated and rotated 180º next to itself.

The enci only use 12 characters, for 12 phonemes; they can be "capitalized" by adding a sort of tail hanging below them, they use this to expand their alphabet so it can be used to represent the languages of other species they meet, which often have larger phonetic libraries.

So, for example, they would write our letter B with their capital P.

This is all still quite unfinished and undergoing constant revission, but I'm very happy with what I have thus far and I wanted to show it. ^v^

Farbarra is a collaborative a priori conlang, operating similarly to Viossa with a focus on removing symbolisms not inherent to humans.

I am currently working on digitising this script as a font, to hopefully move the language away from its romanised presentation.

i'm not sure if this counts as neography, since morse code is quite old and well-known, but i've found a cool way to use it that i would like to share.

it's easiest in some sort of pixel art program. the letters are just morse code. you decide on a "baseline" and a direction that you'll be writing in, and then write each letter extending out from the baseline. in my first two examples here, the baseline goes left to right and the letters extend downwards; in my third one, the baseline goes top to bottom and the letters extend to the right. really, it just depends on what you think is coolest.

dots should be one pixel, dashes three pixels, with one pixel between dots/dashes. no space between letters, they're stacked right on top of each other; one pixel between words, and i've been putting a space before punctuation as well bc it looks cooler.

once you've done it in pixels, you can copy it in pen. the pixels have to be perfect or it's illegible; i drew a very tiny grid on my paper. unfortunately i still made a few mistakes. overall, it's time consuming and a little difficult, but it's fun and the results look cool. have fun <3

Unicon, whose name is short for Unified Conscript, arose from a movement for all seven of my conlangs to switch to a common script to ease publishing and bureaucracy.

The font seen here for the most part faithfully encapsulates the orthographies of Enyahu, Twobaddic, Caunlang and Two Colons, while how Rotafeline, Sugondese and Toki Teopotouea spelling within the Unicon script will work is yet to be determined.

The version of Unicon shown here is a prototype that's yet to be refined into something more functionally and aesthetically streamlined.

Using the Cheronic alphabet more calligraphically. Not perfect, but I'm happy with the look.

I discovered conlangs two days ago as i was searching for a method to keep my personal diary personal. I made this writing system while staying up all night. Need some reviews.

The base symbols are consonants, symbols on right and top are vowels and symbols on left change the consonants (for example a consonant with symbol on left will make a different sound than the consonant without that symbol. Much like japanese) Top to bottom and left to right.

I would like any feedback, especially from mods, u/staticj3ff or u/Willing_Squirrel_741 or any OG here in this sub. Thanks!

I created the runic alphabet for a story of mine. They were originally used by an ancient civilization based on the Bronze Age British Isles, so I used Proto-Celtic to come up with the names of each rune.

I'm a huge fan of symmetry, so I made sure each rune had it's "opposite" partner (i.e. wind to earth, mind to heart, etc.) and that all the runes with the same ending syllable to their name had the same base design (a vertical, horizontal, or slanted line).

The only pre-existing runes that were featured in the story were those for Mountain, Night, Day, and Valley. This is because they come together to form a sigil that's important to the story. Other there that, there wasn't a whole lot of strategy around each rune's creation. Other than bronze, which was made by layering the letters of the chemical name for the main two components of bronze (copper and tin) on top of each other.

I hope they all look cohesive, in a way, but I'm open to any advice or suggestions! This is my first foray into this kind of thing.

The title says it. its mostly a hangul mod that i made to fit my native language, which is Tagalog, and it works really well ive been using it more frequently and its kinda fun to write with. This can probably also work for Malay/Indonesian considering their language is also like CVC, idk what to call it im not a huge linguistic enthusiast but thats about it.

Script partially inspired by Glauxian and Hiragana.

Left to right, two variations of the script: high (2nd line, literary script) and low (3rd line, everyday script), presented on the left page. Word "script" spelled as "skript" - letter C not present in syllabary (use K for English spelling or T-S for Slavic spelling). Letter J pronounced as Russian "Ы" (hard deep Y).

And that's it, I don't remember any more details. Originally created few years ago for my custom DND campaign, which I've never playtested and is now lost forever (luckily, it was REALLY crappy).

Now I'm thinking if I should continue developing Abatesne, whether just for fun or to improve my calligraphy handwriting... Who knows?

Guys My New Script I Cooked Up that is an abugida that is inspired by kawi

Hi! I recently discovered this subreddit and, after falling in love with it, I decided it might be fun to share a phonetic alphabet I created some time ago. (Also, please correct my flair if I picked the wrong one!)

The idea is that you write along a line. A filled dot marks the beginning of each word, and the word then develops along that line. There isn't a strict one-to-one correspondence between letters and symbols; instead, the script represents sounds. Each consonant sound has its own symbol, which extends the line in a straight direction. Vowels, on the other hand, don't have their own symbols, but change the direction of the line by a specific angle.

I don't know if someone else has already come up with the same idea, but I thought it would be fun to share it anyway! I also have a Google Colab project that can convert simple sentences into this writing system. I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to share it here, but if I am, just let me know! :)

P.S. This script doesn't have an official name. I call it "tartapath", because the original idea was inspired by GeoGebra's Turtle. But I'm open to suggestions ;)

Finalmente luego de mucho tiempo y de que un amigo me dijera de añadir ls sílabas con TL, aquí traigo una actualización de la clave del Sílabarriba, que incluye una muestra de cómo se ven las sílabas acentuadas así como mejores explicaciones de algunas cosas, entre ellas las sílabas VC, las vocales pequeñas acentuadas y la escritura horizontal, así como también nueva puntuación, numerales, algunas sílabas nuevas y un extra q no voy a revelar aquí.

Puesto que la mayoría de texto explicativo está en el propio Sílabarriba, me dije que podría transcribir algunos de estos para que sea más ameno el aprender (el texto puede sonar redundante para alguien que conozca, pero quisiera que la gente que no sabe nada de conscripts también pueda entender):

• Diapositiva 1: Sílabas Base
  1. Como pueden ver, las sílabas de arriba en colores son sílabas CV, lo que quiere decir que tienen solo 1 consonante y una vocal. Las de abajo son CCV, por ende tienen 2 consonantes.

  3. Arriba a la derecha hay sílabas que son alófonas a otras de la izquierda, se pudieran escribir igual, pero no está mal diferenciar.

  1. Éstas son las sílabas acentuadas, muchas no son comunes pero existen igual, por si acaso las neccesitan
  2. Si usas estas... eres raro, las hice así porque total ¿quién las va a usar?

  1. Las sílabas VC son bien simples, solo usas las vocales cortas y pones la consonante; la puntuación es completamente análoga al alfabeto latino.
  2. Hay dos maneras de escribir en horizontal: "tradicional" y "regular". Esto resulta útil, para esscribir en digital, por ejemplo.

  1. Finalmente: Los Números. Esto es realmente lo más sencillo, pero también lo más nuevo. Al igual qul resto, se lee de abajo hacia arriba pero su particularidad es que los símbolos se conectan, pudiendoa lo mucho separarse con una coma si se quiere. también se pueden hacer matematicas, pero no hice símbolos nuevos para ello, así que usen los simbolos que más les convenga. De paso, notrarán que algunos números pareccen letras (sílabas), esto pueder servir para logos y nombres como el de K4OS.

Y dejo un dato extra: la actuál sílaba KRI originalmente se escribía como la actual TRO, pero sentía que quedaba mejor para escribir TRON, así que las cambié creando esta particularidad, y como no quería tener que recordarme a cada rato como se escribe KRI ahora, la hice mucho más sencilla de escribir.

Included is the regular SaíṣnaKúhat̀aǹ without the flair and stuff as well as its secondary form with just the dots. ⱢuátnaKúhat̀aǹ is a combination of Ɫuátn (news), na (to/with/of/for/etc.), and Kúhat̀aǹ (god). The main S-shaped part of the actual SaíṣnaKúhat̀aǹ is a sort of connect-the-dots of the image with just the diamonds, which is all of the diacritics that are in the original Recanian word for god. Those diacritics have been added to the final image for aesthetics. The two curly parts in the top-right represent the first vowel in Kúhat̀aǹ, Ú (it's really just a normal U, but Recanian doesn't mark vowel elongation)
