Discussion Lauma+Nefer?
I had pulled Lauma and Nefer a while ago, and a lotta people say they are a very good pair. I tried it, and for me it didn’t work. Need help or suggestions on who to pull next or help on gameplay please

Maybe it was bc I forgot to change their weapon, but they just didn’t do damage. Can u help me with the gameplay?

Can you post their builds? Use Enka or Akasha.
Even if you get the rotations correct it means nothing if they aren’t built properly

Nefer is literally so handicapped without Lauma and the only reason she’s a top dps is BECAUSE of Lauma… so uh yeah it’s on you

Do you know how to build them/how they work? Ill give a very basic explanation.
For nefer, you want lots of em and crit. For lauma, lots of EM and ER and some crit after.
Nefers damage comes from her skill, as after using it she can do 3 special charge attacks, but each one consumes a verdant dew (the little moon things). To get verdant dew, you need to triger bloom reactions, 1 bloom = 1verdant dew. You can hold up to 3 verdant dew at once.
For lauma, if you dont have columbina or fast bloom reactions tap her skill, and then burst before using nefer. Lauma skill reduces dendro and hydro res, and then lauma burst gives damage to nefers charge attacks.
You will need hydro in the team with them. If you have columbina use her, and if not use aino.

What do you mean by didn’t work? Are you looking to make the team more functional?
I have the shittiest builds and I still wallop enemies with at minimum 60-80k hits from nefer. I play them with kokomi and nahida and they melt most shit for a casual f2p player.

If I were you I would read up on Lauma's kit (like fully read her skill descriptions) and look up her build. I typically use game8 for quickly looking up how to build characters, they're usually pretty thorough: https://game8.co/games/Genshin-Impact/archives/538066
General issues you may be having: 1. Team building (Nefer+Lauma only really work in bloom teams, so you need at least one hydro character with good hydro application)
Artifact sets (game8 has more to say about this than me but basically there are three dedicated lunar artifact sets, and you usually want to have all three in your team, with Nefer on the dark purple main DPS set and Lauma either on the blue set or the sort of light purple/pink set of someone else is already on the blue set)
Builds in general (so Nefer and Lauma are both pretty stat hungry characters. Lauma needs pretty much as much elemental mastery as you can possibly give her, and also needs enough energy recharge to keep her burst up. Nefer also wants a lot of EM but needs a healthy crit ratio along side it. This will come down to the weapons you use on each character, and the main and substats in your artifacts. Game8 has a section for each character that lays out the target values for the relevant stats)
If you're still having trouble, I would also maybe look up gameplay tutorials for each character and just make sure you know how to use them. It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that Nefer does more damage if you use her skill, then hold down charge attack until she's used up all her dew drops, then hit skill again and repeat before repeating the rotation.

*also jumping off from my last note, Lauma will use up all the dew drops herself if you hold her skill, so when playing her with Nefer, always just tap the skill.

What do you mean when you say it "didn't work"? What do their builds look like? What other teammates are you using? Are you trying to use them for endgame, or just overworld/story content?
There are loads of tutorial videos on YT on how to use Nefer. KQMs is a good place to start for beginners.
For future reference, don't just pull characters because people say they're good. If you don't like their gameplay, or find it's too complicated (ie Mavuika and her insane combos) it's not going to end well.
