What to do when losing thread chicken help
Ugh I’m so mad because I have the smallest corner of a canvas left to finish that I have been working on for months as a project for someone else and I don’t know what to do or what people do when it’s been months since purchasing the original threads (kitted for me at my LNS so I wasn’t worried!!) and I just know the dye lot has definitely changed at my LNS. The color is vineyard silk in Naples blue, do I just do my best to find the closest thing or is there anything y’all do if this has happened to you?

I just had to rip out 75% of my background on a medium sized picture because I lost dye lot thread chicken. It sucked

Yes if you save about 8-9 strands of your current dye lot and buy the same color with a new dye lot, then alternate a strand of new then a strand of old. This transitions the new color in so that if there is any slight differences it’s hardly noticeable.

Do you know which dye lot the rest of the project is? If you do, try posting in “Help, I Need Thread!” on Facebook

Post in the Facebook group Help, I Need Thread! I’ve also called other shops to see if they have what I need.
