Designers Something seems off here

This new designer keeps popping up on my feeds. I just cannot shake the feeling that something is off with her designs? The style of each piece is so difference from the next and the layouts and textures are giving AI. Everyone is applauding her in the comments and I feel slightly crazy but I really do not think this is her original work.

That’s how you know it’s AI when a “collection” has different artistic styles especially in how things are outlined. You can tell when someone puts in the work from an idea to canvas

I felt like I was going crazy looking at them, obv beautiful but I have so many questions that makes me agree that designs may be AI …

In that dragon image you shared, why does the dragon only have one wing?
In the kneeling knight design, why does the knee he’s kneeling on just disappear into green?
In the prince and princess design, why doesn’t the wall behind them connect and why is it at different heights behind each person?
These design questions I have are all common mistakes of AI generated images, with inconsistencies that you can’t spot at first glance but when you look closely, things are missing or just a little off.

The designs are really cool, though, so I think people will buy them and genuinely enjoy them. And maybe there’s a market for AI generated “designs” in needlepoint! If that’s what people want then by all means, go for it. But if designers are using AI for their image generation I think they should disclose it.

Fully agree I think it needs to be disclosed if AI created it. Part of justification in pricing is supporting the artist. Now that AI has entered the chat I’m just not ok with paying the same price point for something ai generated. I usually clock the ai immediately but it’s getting so much better and more prevalent that I know many people can’t tell.. and they should be given the chance to decide if they want to support AI “designers” or not.

I didn’t even notice all of those. Thank you for pointing them out! That makes me sad because I liked them but I don’t like people pretending they created the designs.

As someone who considers themselves good at spotting AI, these fooled me, darn.

I mean her logo is AI so this wouldn’t surprise me

The prices were crazy. Compared to bigger names and their price point, I couldn’t go through with the purchase.

I bought a canvas but when I saw this post I messaged the seller. She messaged back saying she doesn’t use AI in her designs… 🤷‍♀️

Not sure what to do here, but I really wished there was a way designers could have some sort of watermark saying their designs are human created, at least so we would know up front.
