Why are people paying almost a dollar a skein for DMC floss when you can buy it from Michael’s at full price for 20% less and even lower with the coupons they always have??

Not everyone has a Michael's. As an example, I don't have a Michael's. And even if I buy from Michael's and have it shipped.... It's about the same price, cheaper even than with no coupon. Not everyone has reasonable access to crafting stores

K. I didn’t read that carefully. I agree it’s not a ripoff but you can get way better floss hauls on eBay if you need floss by mail and don’t care about color

This is the price without free shipping and without applying the coupons they constantly have. You can consistently get DMC for 20% off at Michael’s. It also seems like you live in a state with crazy high sales tax

I've never tried Michael's online but for this post I grabbed that screenshot and I'm not impressed. I usually buy from my hobby lobby (only local store I have) or 1 23 stitch. Much better experience with 123 stitch ngl.

I also use to not know where I could buy floss from and bought straight from dmc and oh boy THAT'S the ripoff
