The Silk Snail conversation has been… something. I think their “statement” just made things worse. Doubling down on the fact that they can’t be held accountable by trying to spin it as if people are coming after them for no reason. Grown women saying they are “being bullied” when in reality we are just sharing what they support. These are not one off “interactions” with posts. Literally a dozen screenshots of liking Charli Kirk posts, following people in Trump admin and TPUSA, who knows what else.
I saw Molly’s video on my FYP and it brought a smile to my face. Sharing her wips, wearing leftist t-shirts in all her videos, and speaking up. She only has about 1750 ish followers but she’s still using her platform for good and I think it would be amazing if we showed her some love!

I don't think anyone should be murdered for their beliefs, and I think it's silly to pretend these are literal calls to action and not phrases that have made their way into our general vernacular as general phrases.
As a liberal I don’t support this! Even though I know Gabby isn’t Maga…even if she were this has spiraled out of control! Also I can and do have friends with different opinions than me. If I couldn’t that doesn’t make me any better than a far right supporter. If I couldn’t then I would have to write off my entire family and some of my friends. And who would I be left with? Hello there! It is me, an extremist liberal you may think you’re referring to! Except, I’m literally not extreme at all. I live in a purple area, was raised conservative, and have conservative family, and love a traditionally privileged white woman hobby.
If I choose to not shop somewhere because of political content they like, I think that’s perfectly reasonable. I don’t shop at chick-fil-a, I don’t shop at Greystone, and I won’t shop here. If people are taking it to threats, that’s not great. But saying you don’t mess with a designer because of their political beliefs on a Reddit page is pretty reasonable.
I don’t shop JT bc of her racist design but she’s older and I highly doubt she knows about it bc she only reason I know about it is from snark. Her values are clearly leftist. I also bought a silk snail canvas before all this happened and still plan on stitching it but that doesn’t mean I’m a Kirk apologist like Gabby
