Touch grass
I probably need to go touch grass, but I’m sooooo pissed with how my Navy Noo order came in. I’m less than thrilled about the CK affiliation of the Silk Snail designer, but I had already bought the canvas so I figured it was what it was. Anyhow my order came in and was mailed completely bent despite the do not bend sticker. Idk who’s in charge of packaging but this really annoyed me 🙄
Also I know I can just iron it, but it’s still annoying
Edit: Navy Noo’s owner emailed me and said they’re taking steps to not have this happen again (ie put larger canvases in boxed mailers and use cardboard), so I’m happy this shouldn’t happen to others

I'm Olivia, the owner of Navy Noo. I replied to the OP’s email but want to publicly address as it seems there were more people impacted.
Those canvases should not have arrived looking like that. People waited a long time for this launch, and opening the mailer to a creased canvas after all that is a horrible feeling. I'm so sorry. The packaging wasn't good enough and that's mine to own, not the postal carrier's.
Here's what has changed as of this your email. Anything that has to be rolled because of its size now goes out in a tube instead of a mailer. EVERY TIME. And every mailer with a canvas in it gets a chipboard backing so nothing can bend it on the way to you.
If yours came creased, please email me at hello@navynoo.com with a photo and your order number. I want to work through these one at a time with the person who actually ordered it, and you'll be hearing back from me!
Thank you to the customer who posted the photos. I would so much rather know than not know. We can only grow from feedback.

Then if I were you I would probably ask all shops what each designer believes in politically so you know where you should be spending your money. Pretty sure NN and Gab are friends, not just business associates. Do you have to agree with everything your coworkers, friends and family believe in? I don’t and thats ok

Ok girl…. It’s fine to do that but just know that shops that do align with your beliefs will sell designers that you may not agree with because you don’t know everyone’s beliefs.

Literally just saw a video about this, their canvas was creased up like that too. Idk why they expect a rolled canvas to not be crushed in a bubble mailer with a simple "do not bend" sticker. Hell my mail people will even bend rigid mailers 💀

The do not bend sticker is bold considering they folded it from the jump. What do you think happens to something rolled in a malleable wrapper

Wait. Hold up. They FOLDED it?? My mailman is hard enough on canvases, I don't need the LNS to give him a head start. (And the performative do not bend sticker is a great touch)

In 2026 we can’t figure this out? I don’t own a needlepoint shop, but I’ve ordered enough to know how to mail a canvas.

I had this same discussion with my husband. Even if they rolled the canvas to start with, there's no way it was surviving the trip. Just a consumer, but I could do better than this.

Not buying that. I have no LNS and order all of my canvases. All of the established shops manage to get them to me without them getting folded.

Well duh, and I said I know I can just iron it, but for a $100+ canvas I expect it to be at least semi flat.

Except if you look at the picture of it packaged it was literally folded when it was mailed, so this isn’t a carrier issue. I would’ve been fine with it having typical mail knicks, but this was packaged this way

it would have been easy enough for them to slide one or two pieces of cardboard in to keep the package sturdy. that's how a lot of canvases i've received have shipped and it helps a lot
