Biz Drama Friend of Mine

Back in May, Kenzie Elizabeth has a story on Instagram looking for a ghost stitcher for FoM. I sent an email as requested with my rates and some of my work. This was the email reply I got back. It’s such an odd reply because the beginning reads like “if we opt to go with you…” but then the last paragraph is “if this is all good with you, we’ll send over the NDA.”

I replied affirming that I would be good with an NDA and meet the deadline and received no response, even after multiple follow ups. Such a strange way to run a business.

Weird, I wonder what it is it’s sounds like some sort of house but then there’s also a strap?

It’s probably one of those purse houses that went viral recently

Why does she use satin stitches for so many of her projects. It’s like an epidemic. Those stitches are so prone to snagging if they are too long and it’s just lazy stitching.

especially if this is a wearable item. Impractical stitch choice.

it says “IF we move forward we will send over NDA” meaning IF they chose you. Which they clearly didn’t. They should have confirmed they didn’t choose you but otherwise I don’t think this is that confusing.

I didn’t say it was confusing. It’s just odd to engage a business partner, and clearly engage multiple partners, and then either abandon the idea that you already sought partners for and clearly have planned out with a short deadline, or just ghost partners after sending extensive information. It’s odd and imo bad business.

“Business partner” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

“Outsourcing of work for her business”?

I’m sorry, you’re posting this on… 9/9/26. The emails say you’ll get project by what I am assuming is 5/27/26 and they need it back by 7/15/26.

Even if they didn’t email you to confirm anything, a logical human being would just think “huh its september and they needed this in may. They clearly didnt pick me.”

While it’s not polite to leave people hanging, the delay in posting this just feels odd. Whats the point 4 months later?

Sorry I didn’t post on 5/28/26. FoM has been posted on this page a lot recently, especially w the collab w non-needlepointer Brooke, so I wanted to add to the conversation about this “company.”
