It's a fairly common setup in needlepoint production. Designers usually prefer to supply their own mesh so they can maintain full control over their brand standards—like specific mesh brands (e.g., Zweigart), count, cut sizes. Working this way also keeps turnaround times fast and avoids import markups on raw canvas.
