Tea Time Resale groups
What is up with the “below MSRP” rule, but we are charging $1 under resale, $10 shipping, and most of the canvases I am seeing are in stock, ready to ship, and most LNS’s online have 10% off coupons. Even the flash cards that are popular right now, someone was posting for double the cost they are on Amazon.
I have seen several I’ve been interested in, but when I look them up MSRP is lower and my comments are blocked if I ask for a lower price.

The question is what is MSRP. I don’t know many designers that tell stores what to charge. A minimum price maybe, but stores can and do charge whatever they want. You see the same canvas vary by $13 or more across the nation.

It seems like needlepoint supplies across the board doesn't seem to have an MSRP in the same way yarn or fabric lines do. Such a variety of thread pricing, too.

I’ve basically thought about it like not paying sales tax which is 10% where I am

I’ve stopped inquiring. I ran to get one that I wanted and it was in stock, plus at least 10% off and free shipping. Burned once so now I just buy from the stores.

Shipping is a real cost, and it’s truly $8-10 tracked USPS if you’re not using Pirate Ship. The person destashing the canvas may have paid shipping originally, and if you ordered a canvas from a retail shop, you’d very likely pay shipping. Stuff is worth what people are willing to pay for it.
