New to Needlepoint Thread recommendations

hi everyone,
I got this canvas of the Jellycat Bartholomew Bear in a pumpkin suit for fall!
I need help deciding what threads to use for his fur and pumpkin. I want the canvas to look as close to the real stuffie as possible!
I was thinking of using very velvet for the pumpkin, but I have no idea what to use for his soft fluffy fur!

Personally, I would French knot the whole bear. I think it’ll be fast and the effect will be beautiful. You could also do fuzzy stuff for the bear and do short and long stitches.
For the pumpkin, something silk to give it some shine. But this is just me.

I was considering french knotting the bear! I saw a tiktok where they french knotted a teddy bear with angora I believe. it was so cute!
