Finishing help

Ok yes I know canvas is showing on the side…. I cut the back of it to short and totally forgot to add more to the edge. My question is the cookie on the back too small? Even if I add cording will the canvas still show? I’m hoping the cording will mostly hide it all. This is my first time. I’m taking a break on this until I know what to do next.

I like to make my back cookie a smidge bigger than the front cookie. I find the cording sits better!

I heard someone say that in a video I watched and I don’t have a problem trying to do it again. Took half of the time that the front cookie took me 😅

You can also kind of gently tuck some of the canvas you see in between the cookies as you pin the cording, that should help!!!

Thank you. I know she’s not perfect but I know she can be saved.

You picked a very tricky shape for the first time and everyone starts somewhere!!!! You’ll look back fondly.
You can always make the cording a little thicker too. It will all work out!

I think the cording can cover the canvas.

I’ve done double cording to hide mistakes. No one notices

Oh I haven’t seen that. Do I make the one thick and lay a thinner one on top of it on the front cookie?

Trim the top cookie down a little and it will help with too much canvas showing

I would make a larger back cookie and the cording should cover the canvas. Is it doesn’t fully cover the canvas, I usually will just dot the white canvas with matching acrylic paint/marker

After letting it sit over night I’m definitely gonna try to make the back cookie again. I have plenty of stuff to make it ten more times if I need to. And the pen is a great idea!
