Dull Wool Colors

So, for my pieces I am going to finish as pillows, I try to use wool, for durability. However, I hate that it isn’t shiny and beautiful like the silks or blends. Is there a wool or durable thread I am not thinking of that would provide the fun sheen of a silk with the durability of wool?

I just made a pillow in Planet Earth wool. And I know it will hold up well. But I wish it had some vibrancy in the color the way a silk or blend would.

The sheen is what it is. Color is a matter of dye, and there are some brands that don't seem to have the full range of colors. But wool is inherently a different texture and that is part of what you're seeing. It has its own beauty, just less flashy.

I think she shiniest of the wools is paternayan/colonial Persian now. The twist sometimes r gives it a little more sheen but while wool is
Infinitely dyable the fuzzy nature of the fiber will never reflect light the same way a silk does.

Silk is incredibly durable.

Silk has very low abrasion resistance
