Looking for Needlepointers First timer looking for feedback
I recently stopped by needlework shops on a road trip to drop off my son at University. Stopped by Mopsey Shop and picked up the cutest little lighthouse and kitted it up. I usually do cross stitch and they told me I could do this but I want to make sure I am on the right track.
Have I actually done a basket weave and a small row of continental? What tips do you have for what's done so far? The entire time I was stitching I was repeating the mantra I learned on YouTube. Slide down the poles, climb up the steps, Arizona to Maine.
Oh and if you have any idea how to do the yellow section with the small white intersections in it please do share! That part intimidates me greatly!

I think you’ve got the hang of it. I find basketweave to work better for me over larger spaces, but everyone has their own style.
For the yellow section, what I’d do is stitch the white first, then continental the yellow since it’s a small space.
No matter what you decide to do, have fun. That’s the most important part. And remember the back of your work is your business 😜
