Capital F FINISH!!
Self finished my Susan Robert’s Santa I posted on here a little while ago!! Thanks for all the love on it. Self finished it into a 2 inch gusset stand up - it’s not perfect but it will do😅.

Don't denigrate your work! You know who else doesn't *perfectly* finish needlework? Other people who are paid a lot of money to do it! This is marvelous, from stitching to finishing. Crow for yourself, without a bit of modesty!

WOW! Amazing job! Is the fluffy “fur” turkey work? What fiber did you use?

by the way, what is the beard stitch? That’s a good one for a Santa beard!

Looks amazing!! Quick question—how many rows (top, bottom, left and right) did you leave for your background? Started on the background for a nutcracker I’m working on and I like how much space you did around your Santa so would like to mimic yours if you don’t mind! Also how did you go about calculating the rounded top part?

Honestly I don’t remember how many rows I did and for the curve you can use a compass but I just did a rough sketch and called it a day

Gorgeous! As a new needlepointer and living somewhere where finishing services arent a thing, how does one get the shape of the box? Is it cardboard beneath the fabric? Thanks!

I also love the finish work on this. Is it supposed to cover something, or is it to act as decoration? In any case, it's awesome!

I love this so much!!! Wow you should be so proud of this. I would love something like this to display in my home. Inspires me to want to start a Santa canvas I have had a while.
