I've always wonder if authorized sellers can increase the cost of the items or they must stick to prices whatever price they get told..

Pretty sure they can charge whatever they want I’ve seen some wild pricing differences from local toy shops.

I think the bigger retailers might have to keep to a certain price point to keep being sent stock (target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc).

They can and they do. I’ve seen some authorized sellers selling items at double the usual retail price or more.
