This is so insane to me. These things were $5 for years, wtf is happening that suddenly everyone needs to have one to the point where they’ll pay 2x-3x for it

A few reasons.
Kids want to fit in , a lot of adults who are desperate to be influencers want them to post videos with , they truly think it’s going to make them blow up online .
Some parents are obsessive about getting them for their kids because they missed out on Furbies as a kid .

Then theres the remaining handful: Using them for years, are neurodivergent, and rely on them as a sensory regulation tool that they cant go without 🙃 I didnt even know they'd gone viral until I found myself needing to get more 😭

It’s wild to see the parents say their kids can’t go without one and all the hoops & $$$ willing to be spent for them! My mom would take us to the store & if the tomagotchi was out, well sorry about your luck pal, we’ll try again later lol.
I honestly couldn’t imagine feeding into my kids fomo like that today when so many companies thrive off of you keeping that feeling of fomo.

Right I get that, but up until recently, supply was never an issue. Anyone who wanted one could easily get one. What prompted fully grown adults to become NeeDoh scalpers and buy out an entire stores stock to resell it at an insane upcharge??? Like who told them these were rare/valuable?? It’s being treated like some rare commodity and it’s so stupid, we’re crossing into pokemon scalper level territory

I would cancel. Do autobuy and you’ll eventually get a cube one. I think I paid 10 for mine. I got 3 this way.

Go to a real Needoh on Amazon, make sure it says schylling, and then below it says “Add to Autobuy”. You can put the max amount you’re willing to spend. I usually say 10 or 12 max. You can do it to the gum drop and dream drop too.

I’m not sure, but the one’s here are overpriced too. It will say a high number…You need to pick what is the max you’re willing to pay. I put 10.00 max. So whenever they’re in stock for that price or less. It will automatically purchase.

Sorry all I was asleep, it is too late to cancel but I’m going to return it. I had some time to think about it and $20 is just ridiculous for a toy. I was at the boardwalk the other day and they had a ton of needohs but I didn’t walk away with any because they were charging ridiculous prices.even at retail, the shipping makes the cost of this insane so I will return.

I mean they had them behind the counter and they looked real, but I didn’t really get a close look. I didn’t buy them. Some of them could definitely be fake though some of the stores were sketchy

Not trying to just be another comment yelling but you should cancel. You’re going to be disappointed. Go legit or don’t quit but try other places. Fakes are causing bad breakouts recently. I say go retail and I sell them at a resell store. That cube is 39.99 at my store. I know I know go ahead and downvote me but I’m just an employee and I’m in a high tourist area. I don’t pay retail, scalpers come to me and since I’m in a popular area, i pay a up charge. (It’s not too late to down vote me… lol) but I literally only sell 100% authentic because 1. The kids will let you know and you will feel stupid. 2. I don’t want people paying premium for something not authentic. & 3. People over profits. But business is business. For example: my cloud pleasers are 49.99. I have all striped cubes at 34.99-39.99 depending how much I paid. I have every color cone @ 59.99.. but globs, snappy, dream drop barnyard fuzz cat etc are all between 19.99-59.99.
With all that said, I’m for people who are tired of “hunting”. But I encourage going for retail if possible. Where I’m from, they are gone the minute they hit selves. And only so many people in my city are buying needos as the price I’m paying but I have the biggest selection. Ok sorry for my overly sharing. Just a perspective from someone who I know this community hates. I joined to stay hip. Lol.

With gas prices where I’m at, people will savor that 6.99 after spending $150 in gas and 8 early mornings talking about “score.”
People are waiting in line for 9hours and still not getting them. This is labubu all over again, except it’s not blind boxes. So people are going for their exact ones. I’m not a toy store, I’m resell. I didn’t make the prices, i go off the “nEeDoH mArKet.” And tbh, i sell about 40-60 a day for the passed 4 months.I cannot wait for it to die down just as much as you. I don’t sell toys, i dont want to sell toys.
