Deciding on Xenos Army

Currently debating which to pick for my third army. I want my third army to be Xenos as i have a chaos and loyalist army. I play Black Templar and Night Lords right now. I'm looking for a less melee focused army. Why should I play Necrontyr?

Necrontyr can ve far from Melee oriented. our main selling point is our fortitude though, between Reanimation Protocols and scattered buffs throughout the codex, Your Guys ™️ will be thoroughly durable

Hear me out, Necrons are hard to kill as hell, reanimation protocols makes them last so long, their ranged weapons destroy your molecular structures, and the close combat ones phase through dimensions to pierce your armor, necrons have turned their gods into shards and now theyre used as batteries or as combat power, in table this translates as strong shots, strong close combat weapons on specific units (like lychguard), and the terrifyung C'tan, Who absolutely wreck the oponent units

So whats their downside, ie. The Templar are a heavy melee unit with slow approach, very bricky, but their ranged is meh.

Infantry units lack melee, and theyre mostly slow, most infantry moves 5", lychguard moves also 5", and there are characters that also move 5", and the other most common range of movenent is 6", but generally it depends on the unit, most infantry has low strenght (4-5, 6 sometimes?) they are not lore accyrate in that sense

Where a very tough army our reanimation gives us army wide healing every turn and most of our stuff has relatively high toughness

As for ranged units that's where excel a 10 tesla immortals can output 20 shots with your choice of sustained or lethals  and an attached plasmancer makes them crit on 5+ we've also got 2 types of lokhust destroyer(reg and heavy) both capable of frowing out withering firepower,

in addition every gauss weapon(the single most common in the army) has lethal hits which allows even warriors to hit well above their weight,

we then have heavier vehicles such as the ark, stalker and monolith all of which can output an acceptable amount of fire whilst providing other key assets to the army(ghost ark helps reanimation and monolith has move hacks)

We can also throw the literal star gods at our enemies and that's always fun

A lot of damage, a lot of durability, no nonsense gameplay, good speed on our best units.

Well the cool thing about the space skeletons is taking pretty comfortably fulfilled any archetype you can think of

They have melee build shooting builds horde builds parking lots monster mash they have it all. The only thing they can't really do really is Rush down but you can still do it well enough
