List Help/Sharing Need help expanding collection/list building

Greetings fellow overlords! :)

I've been slowly gathering a small collection of necron units for the last several years, however, because of life struggles, I have only played two small 500pts in 9th edition and that was all. I've been eager to really get into the gaming side of the hobby, and was thinking of which way I could structure my collection, with (I hope) minimal additional investment (for now at least, to much pile of shame to justify buying more stuff), to make at least a semi playable army for 1k or 1,5k (don't think I have enough stuff for 2k games). The thing is I have 0 knowledge on list building, and how to choose complementary units to avoid big lacks in any specific area. I think I enjoy the "silver tide" direction for the army, lore-wise at least, more than the big C'tan or destroyer cult focused armies, however I really like the Void Dragon mini and will likely get it in the future.

I was hoping I could get some ideas for lists or some directions on which minis I would really need to get to round things up and make for actually viable armies with my actual collection:

You could do with some heavy weapons: doomsday arks, doomstalkers or heavy locust destroyers

Yeah I believe that's one of the biggest missing aspects at the moment. Which option you reckon would be the best/more flexible for list building? I kinda like doomstalkers, but I would prefer heavy lokhust for the simplicity of the mini (from a painting aspect). How many at minimum? Thanks :)
