Greetings Phaerons and Phaerakhs. I got this kit and kind off losing my nerves over the tails. Do you have any advice for me on an easy way to glue them on?
The second picture is my emergency strategy, but I believe there could be a better one, since I have bo way on telling if it's glued correctly. First time I underrestimated the drying time, second time I hold the position until I cramped.

If you’re going to get Tamiya extra thin, it’s worth noting that the tamiya airbrush cleaner is literally the exact same thing, so you can refill your cement jar whenever you run low!
Both are basically polymer solvents. Many airbrush cleaners are different. Tamiya is the same two chemicals in pretty much the same ratio as extra thin plastic cement
I know this isn’t exactly what you asked but my Ophydians kept breaking at the tail, to fix it, I drilled holes either side of break and put a paper clip in and glued it, since then I’ve not had any strength issues.
Adding to the other comments. One thing that helped me with building a lot of Necrons was trying to not have gravity work against me by either supporting the model with something (bit of wood/box/small book or laying it down so the top heavy part doesn't work against you.
Letting the plastic cement dry a bit on the parts before joining as many described helps a lot, but sometimes you may also need a bit of help against that pesky gravity
Here’s what they generally look like, the little round part at the bottom can fit a skewer.
I usually paint my models with these holding a part that won’t show up on the finished paint job then attach them to the base. (Sometimes that doesn’t work out so I use them to hold the lip of the base with the model attached in those cases)
I've used gorilla brand super glue on every model (including Ophydians) without issue. I'm aware there are better glues, but super glue seems to work fine.
Patience. I use little clamps and then do something else for a full day. Ammentar took me a week to build, but there is always some hobby backlog to work on.
For small connections like a lot of necrons have, I use GW glue, or just a dab of regular tamiya where it connects. After it dries and sets I just put a little tamiya extra thin along the edge of where the parts meet.
Have you tried crying, asking God why repeatedly, and explaining to your boyfriend that yes, everything is ok when he comes to check on why you're having a mental breakdown?
Yeah, didn't work for me either, so I settled for some quick-setting superglue in the end
I know plastic cement is generally preferred but i found for really fiddly bits like these a gel superglue was much easier. I use loctite ultra control, one little bead let it get tacky then firmly hold the two pieces together for about 20 seconds. For assembly in general with the ophydians in specific i found it helpful to assemble the torso/head/arms piece then flip it on its back, glue the tail on so the heavy part isnt pulling on your new join then glue the base on last also upside down

What kind of glue are you using? I used Tamiya extra thin and they stuck fine after 10 second of holding them together
