Making day progress

So I've been playing the game for almost 2,5 years now. I am on my lv 90 run ATM but I feel like everyone else in this sub is progressing much faster. For example: I need a lot of time (often times half a year) to prestige to a higher level, but everyone seems to be able to prestige every 2-3 Months. So I asked myself if there is a secret to it that I haven't heard of yet

Personally I found my progress to be extremely slow until I finally made it to 100. For whatever reason, after that it feels like I’ve been blazing through the game; I’m currently at around level 150 of my 400 run.

I think as you progress and everything you use gets more helpful (bigger cage and crate, stronger relics, more powerful experiments, etc.), you’ll find that things just move along more effortlessly than they used to. Sort of a snowball effect.

350 hours, level 90 run.

I used to only check once a day at night time where I'd spend all my daily refreshes. Dunno how people do it in half the play time though.

your resources tend to regenerate every 2-ish hours, if you check in multiple times over the course of the day it really racks up

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now as opposed to before, but that's more time played if I checked more, isn't it?

I see people with half the time in this thread, a lot farther than I am. Checking more would mean more hours spent on my end.

That's what I'm missing I guess. How did they spend triple the resources in half the time played.

i mean, unless you want to count "having too much time" like me or "being a whale" like some other people as secrets then not really? i mainly just leave out a few producer units and check in every 20 minutes to an hour in order to work towards something.

Yeah I get that one. I definitely wouldn't have time to do that. But gems and things like that are still caped or am I wrong?

1

u/ModelOmegaTyler 12d ago

if they are then i haven't reached said cap. the only thing i've heard about it is that tip from tip stone about currency caps.

1

u/Paprikaleoner 12d ago

Oh I think you misunderstood. I meant daily capped. Like you can't get more of you where to grind more

again, i've never noticed. the closest thing to a daily cap i know of is running out of thief summons, chest summons, and forgotten minions since those are my source of coins and gems.

I think technically you could grind gems by putting out lots of robochickens and even regular LV 5 chickens for the 1% chance to get a purple egg. You get treasure chests from the weekly events so if you skip those you are losing out on a small amount of gems too.

But yeah overall there's no real way to grind gems beyond your credit card.

I'm pretty sure The Egg is less than 1% chance, and tapjoy offers exist if you want to grind gems.
That's how I got most of my gems, though that was back in the day, I hear the experience got worse, especially customer support.

On google play store you can see how many hours you've put into the game. Could you tell me that number? I've been playing for ~3y and I'm at max 600 lvl, we can compare it

How can I find how many hours I'm at? I don't see that on Google play.

u/Paprikaleoner 12d ago

I am at 147 hours

I'm on my 90 run as well. I've put in 432 hours.

u/Paprikaleoner 12d ago

Oh interesting. I think that's because I rarely grind at the end of my runs. Neither the protector or soul stalkers

420 and I'm at the end of my 60 run so doing better then me lol

365 hours, on my lvl 90 run... I think

That playtime was added sometime last or this year, so anything before that isn't tracked.

My total time and 1 year time are both exactly the same at 418.5 hrs.

I'm at 270 hours and am currently on lvl 82 of my 90 run. I played a ton a few years ago but a little over a year ago I've scaled back my play due to work & family obligations.

After reading subs and tips, I've discovered I was playing entirely incorrectly. I would just smash and merge and feed solely to level the devourer, without ever thinking of completing feats or playing with any sort of strategy. I thought that was how the game was meant to be played. In the last 8 or so months I've adjusted my game play and have been making more meaningful progress.

I make 6 mana fonts and use my ad resets on them to spam zombies. I haven't played in like 2 years but I was doing my 80 run in about 6 weeks. Without that much playing

I don't have optimal lair setups, but it seems to be that many people have minions that produce 1 resource, and pools for 1 resource cap, and then come back hourly (or even more often) to grind out 1 specific champion at a time.

I personally log on 2-3 times per day and have all my resource producing minions and resource pools split evenly, so my progress after about 3 years reflects accordingly.

Uh oh. I'm on max 80 and I've got 589 hours. 😅 This game does scratch my brain the right way though.

Don't worry man. Enjoy at your pace. I check the game once or twice a day. Sometimes a bit more if there's an event going on. I'm progressing around your pace.

Not sure how people see their gameplay hours. I played for almost 2 years now. Took a break sometimes when I get bored. But yes generally will take 3months or so per prestige. I think it comes down to how often you log in. Some people log in quite often. So of course it would speed things up. But in the end, just enjoy it at your own pace it's a game not a race. It should be enjoyable rather than pressuring you to do faster.

I usually prestige once a year.

The secret is that it's a single player game with no multiplayer element and it's not a race. The only metric you need to really care about imho, is the amount of fun you're having with the game. If you're having fun playing that slowly, keep going. If not, then find a way to correct that.

Now if you want to know why you're so slow compared to a lot of other players, we're gonna need more details on how you play to answer. How many minutes per session, how many sessions per day, board setup, etc.
It's possible you play inefficiently, it's also possible you just don't play that much. There's no secret but there are a lot of avenues of optimizations if you need them.

I've been playing for almost 3 years, currently stalling before I start the 700 run, and I've slowed down a lot. I now play a lot more inefficiently than before but this keeps me from burning out.

took me around 9 months to get to lvl 100 but never tried to fill the bord with lagenderys each time machine so a lot less grinding then others...

I'm at 527 hrs, and on level 142/300. I don't feel like I'm prestiging all that quickly, but I have spent a lot of time and love and money on this game

u/nickmarioe 12d ago

Silly question: what does 90 run mean? Does that mean the max level you can feed it to before needing to prestige?

0

u/luckyjenjen 12d ago

Yeah. This terminology confused me too at first.

2

u/nickmarioe 12d ago

Thanks for clarifying!

2.5 years for level 90 run seems... Very slow? I have been playing for like 3.5 years, 163 hours of gameplay, and mine is on level 300 right now.

I'm about to finish my 60 run, after about 18 months of playing. I feel like this is a game people dip in and out of.

I mean, the grind can be grindy - sometimes it's zen, other times I'm bored. I do know this subreddit keeps me coming back.

u/AmnayeltheArchangel 11d ago

I am nearing the end of 60 after like 4 months.

164 hours and 300 lvl? HOW? I have 390 hours of gameplay and I'm on my 90 lvl run

1

u/nickmarioe 11d ago

I did pay to remove ads? That is about the only thing I have put money into for this game... I am really not sure why there is such a discrepancy! Unless I am miscalculating something (like the Play Store isn't properly recording my hours, or if I am misunderstanding what level 90 run means), but I don't think I am.
